Since 2004, members of our organisation had been sponsoring school students on an individual basis in Bodhgaya, Bihar, India. Subsequently, in 2008 Kusala Projects Inc. was established to oversee the growing number of sponsorships and also to set up a sewing centre for women in Bodhgaya. In 2010 Elsa Primary School was opened to provide basic education for students from disadvantaged families. Kusala is an Indian word meaning both ‘good’ and ‘skilful’. We are a secular non-profit body with all members offering their services on a voluntary basis.
